Château Garraud-Treytins

The Vat Room and Cellars

The vineyards uses a set of modern winemaking facilities: ventilated, air-conditioned vat rooms and cellars, thermo-regulated stainless steel vats for vinification, concrete tanks and wooden barrels in the underground cellar for ageing and air-conditioned cellars for the bottles.

Plot selection, sorting of the harvested grapes, full destemming, fermentation in stainless steel temperature-controlled vats, control of the maceration process and vinification temperatures.

Fining, if necessary, ageing in concrete tanks, stainless steel vats or barrels (0 to 100% depending on the wine), in the underground barrel cellar.

Primarily Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and a small proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Around 210 000 bottles produced each year. All our Lalande de Pomerol and Montagne Saint-Emilion labels are bottled at the property.
